On the palate, Montes Alpha Merlot has flavors of black cherry, black pepper, tobacco and sweet chocolate. A handsome, ruby-red color, this wine is highly intense, full-bodied and well balanced. The Carménère in the blend adds subtle spiciness to the wine. This Merlot is round and velvety mid-palate with soft and ripe tannins. Well integrated oak with added touches of vanilla followed by a long and smooth finish, Montes Alpha Merlot is very elegant.
